If you ask Skylar which two personality traits his clients consider his most valuable, he is sure they would say, “Patience and confidence.” Patience, for example, helps enhance his listening skills.
“I love this business because it affords me the opportunity to meet successful people and listen to their stories,” Skylar says. “There isn’t anything I enjoy more about my job than having clients tell me about their success.”
Skylar works with clients on full-scale financial planning, high-net-worth planning and securities based lending solutions. “All things financial,” Skylar says. He joined Raymond James in July 2007.
“To me, Raymond James provides the perfect mix of culture and resources,” Skylar says. He senses that for most investors, having a tangible blueprint of their financial plan to reference at any time eases the anxieties that typically accompany financial milestones.
Skylar graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
A true outdoorsman, he loves to hunt, fish and golf.
Skylar mentors inner-city grade school students and also serves in various capacities in a local youth baseball association.
He lives in Little Rock with his wife, Nancy. They have two children, Jack and Cooper, and are members of Calvary Baptist Church.
