Dan Herron CFP®

With more than two decades in the financial planning business, Dan knows the importance of recognizing each client’s individual financial situation. That’s why his clients receive personalized retirement income strategies rather than the one-size-fits-all investment programs. This is something clients experience as they rely on him to help guide their financial decisions.

Dan’s dedication to serving clients is also evident in his certification as a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. To achieve this, Dan passed the comprehensive CFP® certification examination and the CFP® board’s Fitness Standards for Candidates and Registrants, and has agreed to abide by the CFP® board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Rules of Conduct, which put clients’ interests first.

In 1999, Dan began his career in the financial services industry. He first worked at American Express as a financial advisor for two years before moving to the Principal Financial Group where he worked as an internal wholesaler for four years. In 2005, Dan went to work for Wells Fargo Investments, then Wells Fargo Advisors, where he worked prior to joining Raymond James in 2015.

An Iowa native, Dan earned a B.A. in economics and business administration at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Today he lives in Urbandale. For fun and relaxation, Dan enjoys spending time with his two adult children, a little golf here and there, and watching baseball games.
