With over 40 years of experience in the financial industry, Mark has a wealth of expertise that he devotes to leading our team and supporting clients’ financial needs and goals. He takes a comprehensive approach to financial planning, providing guidance to assist clients with an array of needs, including retirement planning and portfolio management. Personable and service-oriented by nature, Mark enjoys helping the families and individuals we serve navigate complex financial issues and implement financial strategies that are tailored to their specific needs and objectives.

“Our goal is to help our clients align how their investments are managed with their values,” Mark said when discussing his process. “It’s important to me to understand not only financial goals, but core values when developing a plan for our clients.”

Mark has attained the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning. CFP® professionals complete a rigorous and comprehensive program, which covers the financial planning process, tax planning, employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and insurance.

Mark began his financial services career in the marketing department at First National Bank in Hot Springs. He went on to serve in VP and Director roles with Arkansas Bank & Trust and INTRUST Bank in Hot Springs and Wichita, respectively. He later served as a financial advisor and branch manager with Merrill Lynch and Prudential, which would become Wachovia, then Wells Fargo. In 2015, Mark became managing partner of Douglass Wealth Management, the predecessor to Douglass Investment Group.

An active member of his community, Mark is a past president of the council for the Boy Scouts of America Quivira Council and continues to serve on the executive committee. Mark is an Eagle Scout and James E. West Silver Fellow.

Mark has also served as treasurer on the executive board for the Pando Initiative; as chairman of the Wichita Chapter of the American Institute of Wine & Food; as a board member for the Kansas Council for Economic Education; as a member and Paul Harris Fellow for the Rotary Club of Wichita; and as ambassador for the Wichita Open, Air Capital Classic Charities.

In his spare time, Mark is an avid angler and enjoys traveling, boating and spending time with his wife, Susan, and their children and grandchildren. Originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mark and Susan live in Wichita.
