Raymond James continues to expand Renewable Energy Investment Capabilities, adds two professionals to support ongoing growth
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James is further strengthening the capabilities of its growing renewable energy tax credit business by adding two new associates to the firm’s Renewable Energy Investments team.
Lan Sasa joins as vice president of renewable energy and will lead all aspects of transaction closings. Sasa has more than 15 years of industry experience, most recently including roles at Enhanced Capital and the National Trust Community Investment Corporation. She previously spent 11 years at U.S. Bank where she led a tax equity underwriting and closing team, helping deploy over $5.6 billion in tax equity for 7.6 gigawatts of solar, wind and storage assets.
Daniel Alvarez Molinet joins Renewable Energy Investments from the Raymond James Affordable Housing Investments team, bringing with him acute modeling and analytics experience. As an asset manager, he will play a key role in project analysis, investor reporting and compliance monitoring across the renewable energy tax equity portfolio.
“Raymond James has a thriving renewable tax credit business and we are committed to building out a deeply experienced team in an increasingly competitive and relevant space,” said Steve Kropf, president and CEO of Raymond James Affordable Housing Investments. “As we continue to invest in our renewable energy platform, it’s vital to have the right people on our team to serve clients and to structure and execute sophisticated transactions.”
In March, Raymond James hired the entire team from TReK Capital Partners to expand the firm's tax credit and impact investments business. With a focus on renewables, the team strengthened the renewables tax credit business built in recent years by the Affordable Housing Investments tax credit syndication group.
Sasa is based in St. Louis and Alvarez Molinet is based in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Raymond James has deep expertise syndicating tax credit and impact investments after entering the business of sponsoring subsidized housing in 1972 and formalizing the function as a business unit in 1988
