For more than 35 years, Whitney has found great fulfillment in helping families and individuals pursue the important goals in their lives and put a plan in place for their future.
“Success looks different to everyone,” Whitney says. “Whether it’s opening a new business or practice, enjoying a well-earned retirement, or sending their children or grandchildren to college, we are here to celebrate these milestones with our clients.”

Whitney is also the founder and president of Logan + Reed Wealth Partners, leading, directing and coordinating the team to ensure that the organization continues to meet the goals and vision set forth.
“Each day looks different, whether it is representing our firm at events, community networking or recruiting talent, the decisions I make are forward-thinking and always in the best interest of our staff and our clients,” Whitney says.
“Our business is built on trust, transparency and the golden rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated,” Whitney adds. “Around our office we say, “family first” and this is also how we treat our clients. It is easy in this business to forget how we got here. I bring to this business gratitude, compassion and joy in watching our clients pursue their goals.”
Whitney also serves as branch manager with Raymond James, overseeing the day-to-day operations including adherence to ethical and compliance standards and regulations. He also delegates responsibilities to team members and works directly with clients.
Whitney’s interest in finance goes all the way back to his early days as a paperboy, when he opened an account with his father to buy stock from his earnings. That blossomed into his 30-plus year career in financial planning, specializing in retirement plan design, investment management, and college funding strategies, and life, disability and long-term care insurance.
Whitney joined Raymond James in 1999, attracted by the firm’s culture of independence and its robust resources. “Raymond James enabled me to pursue my professional goals with a partnership that allows me to do what’s best for my clients,” Whitney says. “We know that Raymond James has our backs while granting us independence.”
Previously in his career, Whitney was a financial advisor with New England Financial. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University. He holds Series 7, 65, 63, 51, 31 and 24 securities registrations and an Ohio life, health & variable products license.
Whitney is originally from North Canton, Ohio, and today lives in Upper Arlington, Ohio, with his wife, Karen D. Logan, MD, and their senior dog, Bear. They have three adult children they are so proud of: Caroline and her husband, Caleb, and their grand-dog Ralphie live outside of Washington, D.C.; Melanie lives in Denver with their grand-dog Cookie; and their son, Danny, recently joined the team and continues to amaze them with his professional lacrosse career.
Whitney is a member of the Upper Arlington Rotary Club, Scioto Country Club and Trinity United Methodist Church. He also serves as a volunteer for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. When Whitney finds the time, he enjoys golf, skiing, biking and travel.
