I have always been interested in finance. It goes back to my days as a paperboy, when I opened an account with my father to buy stock with my paycheck. That young interest blossomed into a 30+ year career in financial planning; specializing in retirement plan design, investment management, college funding strategies, life, disability, and long-term care insurance.
Before joining Raymond James in 1999, I was previously a financial advisor with New England Financial. I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University and industry designations including Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®). I completed rigorous course of study to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and am also a charter member of Professional Achievement in Continuing Education (PACE).
I am one of five siblings active in the Logan Family Foundation, which aims to raise money through an annual celebrity golf tournament. Those donations go to local charities my family is passionate about serving. I am a long time member and volunteer of The Upper Arlington Rotary Club and Trinity United Methodist Church. While attending Ohio State, I was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
Originally from North Canton, Ohio, I now live in Upper Arlington with my wife, Karen. We have three children; Caroline, Melanie and Danny. In my free time, I enjoys golfing, skiing, fishing, biking and traveling with my family.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
