Cody T Johnson,

CFP® Financial Advisor Branch Manager

While attending university, Cody’s counselors and mentors encouraged him to pursue a career as a teacher, coach, principal, or counselor in the year ahead of graduation – all of which appealed to Cody in one way or another. However, through a variety of personal experiences with investing and money management, and through dialogue with peers and professionals during and after college, Cody felt pulled to pursue a role much like the careers he was encouraged to consider while in college, though with personal finance and investing as the topic of focus.

Cody is founder and branch manager of Highpoint Wealth Management, as well as a Certified Financial Planner™. As a CFP® Cody enjoys the opportunity to help families navigate the opportunities and challenges that money presents, in coordination with his clients appointed tax and estate planning professionals. He has been acting as a financial advisor or CFP® since 2005 and moved his practice to Raymond James in 2009, serving as Branch Manager since 2018. Through his time at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA Cody obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in Psychology, also doing an internship at Morgan Stanley during that time, and serving as a team captain on the men’s soccer team.

Originally from Seattle, Cody relocated to Salt Lake City in 2004 and has been a resident in the Sugarhouse and Avenues communities of Salt Lake since then, with his two children Will and Kate. Will is an academic honor roll member of the Lacrosse and Hockey programs at East High School, as well as an avid skier and mountain biker. And although soccer is Kate’s clear focus, she also enjoys her academics, skiing, the arts, and getting out in the mountains with family and friends, with a long-term goal of working at NASA. When not in the office, school or with their teams, the Johnson family also enjoys camping, backpacking, and are learning to fly fish together.
