Matthew Walter,

Matt joined Raymond James in 2021, following 16 years with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and 17 years on Wall Street working in institutional equities sales and on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. He brings his knowledge and passion for the industry to the individual investors and small businesses he serves.

Matt and Gus Fingado founded Fingado Walter Wealth Management to bring all of the investment insights of Raymond James to bear for their clients in a thorough, collaborative and consultative approach.

Matt graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland in 1986. He earned the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation in 2007 and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation in 2017. He assists business owners in establishing and maintaining company retirement plans such 401(k)’s that are compliant with today’s complex financial regulations. Matt helps them navigate the many intricacies of their plans.

In 2015, Matt was approved as a portfolio manager to help clients pursue their objectives by managing their accounts on a discretionary basis utilizing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, managed portfolios and third-party investment strategies.

Matt is a lifelong resident of Monmouth County and resides in Monmouth Beach with his wife, Homeira and their three children. Matt is active in the Monmouth Beach community. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, golf and gardening.
