Branch Manager

As part of Raymond James’ commitment to expand its presence in New Jersey, Russ became the manager of the Red Bank, New Jersey office in September 2023. In addition, he is also in the process of opening a new office in Princeton, New Jersey.

Russ has over 30 years of industry experience, and prior to taking over the Red Bank and Princeton locations, he was a manager for the Alex. Brown New York City and Greenwich, Connecticut branch locations. Prior to that, he held long-term interim manager assignments for the Alex. Brown San Francisco and Atlanta branch locations.

Back in 2008, Russ joined Deutsche Bank in a national sales management role for the private wealth management division (legacy Alex. Brown) and was a member of the deal team that led the spinoff of Alex. Brown from Deutsche Bank to Raymond James in 2016. Prior to his time at Deutsche Bank and Raymond James, he experienced a variety of management roles at UBS, Credit Suisse, Citigroup and Merrill Lynch. Russ began his career in 1992 at the Kidder Peabody Los Angeles office.

Russ is a graduate of Monmouth University in West Long Branch New Jersey, with a degree in finance. He holds the Series 7, 66, 9 and 10 licenses.

Russ and his wife, Lauren, have lived in the Princeton area for the past 20 years and have two children: Halle and Reid, who currently attend the University of Pittsburgh and Indiana University. Russ is an avid skier and also enjoys fitness and travel.
