The value of financial planning isn’t in its rigidity, Pamela knows, but in how it supports people through their unique lives, goals and circumstances even as things change. And while flexible, a financial plan is nonetheless a guide, helping to prevent investors from making emotional decisions and practicing unexamined financial behaviors.
This real-world, life-centered approach to financial management is the touchstone of Pamela’s practice, as is her highly personal connection to her clients. To help people maintain their financial confidence, she is a proactive communicator, a natural educator, and draws from an extensive background in finance and investing to recommend strategies suited specifically to her clients’ needs.
As part of the Williams Townsend & Stout team of experienced peers, Pamela is particularly focused on retirement planning and women investors.
Professional history and background
Pamela began her career in financial securities at Merrill Lynch in 1984, working as a sales associate – working with advisors to help identify investments suitable to their clients’ goals, risk preferences and timelines. In 2015, she pivoted to working with individuals as a financial advisor, connecting her extensive market experience with her care for people and a natural affability. In 2021, she affiliated her practice with Raymond James.
Pamela is a graduate of the University of Utah where she earned a Bachelor of Science in finance. She is a native of Salt Lake City, where she still lives with her husband, David. The couple raised four children, all adults, and have five grandchildren.
To support the community, Pamela volunteers with Mobile School Pantries, a project of the Utah Food Bank to provide nutrition to underprivileged children. In her free time, she enjoys boating, golfing, hiking and playing pickleball.
