Melissa is a dean's list graduate from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Business Management, majoring in Finance. In 1995, she began her career as a Financial Consultant with the Annapolis office of A.G. Edwards. After almost 9 years with A.G. Edwards, Melissa accepted a position as the Assistant Portfolio Manager with a Private Money Management firm specializing in the Global Markets. In 2005 she joined Annapolitan Investment Group to bring her financial planning and private wealth management expertise to the group. Melissa’s focus is asset management for high net worth clients, business owners, and working with individuals with pre-retirement and post-retirement planning. From 2000-2015, Melissa taught non-credit personal finance courses for Anne Arundel Community College's Continuing Education Department and The Women's Institute. To date, she continues to uphold her strong belief in providing financial education and promoting financial awareness as a volunteer for SIFMA (Securites Industry and Financial Markets Association), helping high school students with the annual Stock Market Game and provides financial education through SIFMA’s Invest it Forward initiative.
