• Eric Witt, AAMSTM

    Financial Advisor

    Partner, Chandler Wealth Management

Eric has a unique and diversified background that gives him a global perspective through an analytical lens to manage client assets effectively and engage with clients in a deep and meaningful way.

His first career was working in the oilfields in multiple locations from the gulf states to Alaska.  That experience opened opportunities to work in foreign countries including South America and Japan.  After 12 years in the oilfield, he pursued his interest in business. Earning an associates degree in accounting, he went on to work for a rapidly growing dental HMO in the accounting department.  Moving from accounting to management, Eric led the expansion of the orthodontic centers.  The next move was to create his own business, a contracting and retail store, which he built and managed profitably for 10 years with the help of over 20 employees.

While running his business, Eric earned his dual finance/entrepreneurship degree from the University of Arizona.  In the entrepreneurship program he led a team that was number 2 in the highest ranked entrepreneurship program in this country, gaining a deeper understanding of business competitive advantage, as well as building on his down to earth (and down to business) communication skills.  Importantly, in his senior year he had the opportunity to manage a portion of the UA endowment fund, with a select group of finance students, where he discovered his aptitude for creating and managing a portfolio of securities.  He earned the top stock selector award for his class.

One year after UA graduation, Eric sold his business and went on to work as a financial advisor at Edward Jones, well known as having the premier client service training program, where he worked for 3 years serving his clients.  When Morgan Stanley approached him to work for them, he welcomed the chance to access the much broader investment universe, and there became a Portfolio Manager for his clients.

Meeting his partner Ken LaFleur at Morgan Stanley, they set out to open their own Chandler Wealth Management in which they serve clients in the way Eric was trained at Jones, and use Raymond James for their advanced investment platform with broad access.

When not working Eric spends time in the outdoors with his wife Kate and enjoys flying airplanes.
