For the last thirteen years, Lucas has been refining his craft as a financial advisor. After graduating from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, he then went on to pursue his Master’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Alabama. Wanting to gain as much experience as possible, Lucas interned with Edward Jones in Nashville which led him to dive even deeper into the field by joining VALIC Financial Advisors in Brentwood with a special focus on retirement planning. All the while, Lucas continued his professional education by earning his Series 7, Series 66, Life, Health, and Insurance licenses and participating in the Executive Education Program for Financial Planning at Belmont University. With his passion for financial planning, Lucas joined Southwestern Investment Group in 2014 as a Financial Advisor and also is an Investment Management Consultant through Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting*.

Today, Lucas utilizes his vast knowledge and experience to help guide his clients through the complexities of retirement planning, investing, tax strategies, and other financial goals. To Lucas, one of the most fulfilling aspects of his career is being an active participant in his clients’ lives- working closely to identify their goals, implementing a plan of action, and celebrating with them as they strive to achieve life’s many milestones.

Outside of the office, Lucas can be found spending time with his wife, Kayla, and their three children. He is an avid mountain biker and exercise enthusiast and loves being outdoors. This is where he feels most at home as he was raised on a tobacco farm in rural Christian County, Kentucky.
