Michelle has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry serving high net worth individuals and business owners. Today, Michelle is a Partner at Consilium Wealth Partners of Raymond James. She helps clients pursue their personal and financial objectives by developing customized wealth management portfolios and financial plans. In addition, she provides expertise in lending and liquidity solutions developed over a long career at Bank of America and, subsequently, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. While serving as a Senior Vice President/Senior Wealth Management Banker at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, she assisted more than 30 financial advisors and their clients with services such as cash management and lending.

Earlier in her career at Bank of America, Michelle served as Senior Vice President with Commercial Premier Banking, where she collaborated on personal banking for business owners and executives working with the Commercial Bank; Assistant Vice President in Preferred Banking, where she was responsible for the banking and investment strategies of approximately 400 high net worth clients; and served as a Financial Services Officer and Customer Service Officer with the Commercial Bank, where she supported a relationship manager with a $100 million-dollar portfolio.

Michelle holds Series 7, 65, 63, 6 securities licenses as well as a Life Insurance license and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and a paralegal certificate from Cerritos College.

When not busy helping clients, she serves as a vocational instructor for the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she teaches high school students banking basics, terminology, customer service, sales skills, and mentors students who want to pursue careers in finance, banking or investments.

Originally from Long Beach, California, Michelle lives in Downey with her husband, Carlos Peniche. In her free time, she enjoys traveling.
