Craig O. Vinson Sr., CFP® Senior Vice President, Investments

As a Certified Financial Planner™ professional with 24 years of experience Craig provides comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals, business owners and a range of for and non-profit institutions.

Craig and his team have a specialized focus working with businesses and business owners in growing, maximizing and transitioning their businesses. He developed a love for business at an early age after his grandfather sold his business to a strategic buyer, and since that time watched his own father transition his business to the employees, successfully transitioning a business of his own as well.

With experience in investment banking, tax-mitigation and planning, Craig and the Raymond James Private Client Group team bring together vast resources to serve clients.

Prior to becoming an advisor, Craig managed environmental laboratories for CH2M Hill, and was active in various planning aspects phases of US EPA’s Super Fund program. He began his career with Robinson Humphrey, was later hired to manage an AG Edwards office on the Alabama coast and brings a depth of knowledge into the field each day.

Craig earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Huntingdon College. He also holds accreditations as a Certified Financial Planner™ professional.

Craig is actively involved with his church, the governance of Ono Island POA, the Alabama Coastal Cleanup and several other community and business organizations.

Craig and his wife, Julia, live in Orange Beach and have two children and four grandchildren.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner,  CFP Logo Flame Design and  CFP Logo Plaque Design in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
