Robert H. Sasser, III

Managing Director, Investments Financial Advisor

Robb devotes considerable time to getting to know each client and their family. He looks beyond just their financial matters, knowing that doing so gives him a better understanding of their life goals.

He applies his more than 36 years of industry experience to helping his clients meet their financial objectives through portfolio and balance sheet management. He creates a custom financial plan for his clients and then builds and manages an investment portfolio in concert with their plan. In addition, he advises and helps his clients manage debt, protect themselves with life and long-term care insurance, and leave a legacy through estate planning.

He is dedicated to fully understanding the objectives of his clients and how their financial goals impact their life goals. “I want my clients to be as comfortable as possible with their plan, and know that I will provide advice that is honest and in their best interest,” said Robb.

He has been recognized as a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor1 for 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022.

Robb joined Raymond James in January 2020. “We chose to join Raymond James because the firm has a business model that allows us to put our clients’ interests first, and provide a platform that best allows us to service our clients in a professional and efficient manner,” Robb said.

Previously, he was managing director at First Union Brokerage Services (now Wells Fargo Advisors) in Florence, where he worked as a financial advisor for more than 23 years. Earlier in his career, he worked at NCNB (now Bank of America) in Georgia and South Carolina, where he held several prominent positions, including market president and commercial relationships manager. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.

Robb has been active in community and charitable organizations throughout his career. Best-In-State Wealth Advisors (2022)
The Forbes ranking of Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years of experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Out of approximately 34, 925 nominations, more than 6,550 advisors received the award. This ranking is not indicative of an advisor’s future performance, is not an endorsement, and may not be representative of the individual clients’ experience.
