Clay earned his bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in investment management from The University of Alabama in 1998. Upon graduation, Clay served as the Investment Administrator at Jon Kling Associates, a successful investment advisory firm in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1999, he worked as a Sales Assistant on the trading floor at SouthTrust Securities, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama. In 2000, Clay joined Raymond James Financial Services Inc. in Gadsden, Alabama as an Independent Financial Planner, offering clients unbiased investment information and a wide range of financial products and services. In 2002, Clay opened a Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. office on the second floor of the F&M Bank in Anniston, Alabama when the bank created the F&M Investment Services division to make investment and insurance products available through Raymond James Financial Services. Presently, Clay and his five-member team continue to provide friendly and professional service, exceed service expectations, and meet the financial services needs of clients.

In 2008, Clay was selected to become a member of the Institute of Investment Management Consulting and earned the designation of Investment Management Consultant. He has also obtained the Series 7 and Series 63 securities license, in addition to Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Insurance Licenses. Clay has appeared on TV24’s Wake up Alabama discussing such topics as retirement planning and risk management, in addition, he has contributed articles to the Gadsden, Alabama based newspaper The Messenger. Clay has also hosted numerous seminars on such topics as Asset Allocation, ID Theft, Estate Planning and Long-Term Care. He is a member of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce. Clay also enjoys many hobbies such as golf, bowling, mountain biking, tennis, boating, and scuba diving.
