    Financial Advisor

Steve takes the time to understand the big financial picture for clients, helping them pursue their goals and navigate life’s ebbs and flows. He cares about clients as people first, developing strong relationships in order to better understand their hopes, dreams and objectives. He focuses on comprehensive financial planning, creating a plan that encompasses all parts of clients’ financial lives so they can focus on what matters most to them.

He joined Raymond James in 2020, drawn by the firm’s values of independence and integrity. Before that, he was an advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors. Steve earned a B.A. in education from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and an M.S. in educational leadership from Marian University, and enjoyed 22 years in public education as a teacher, principal, human resources director and superintendent before becoming a financial advisor. As he grew into the role of superintendent of the Beaver Dam Unified School District, he found himself enjoying the complex tasks of planning, managing and directing a $40 million budget. As his passion for economics and finance grew, he found a natural transition into the financial services industry.

Steve believes in servant leadership, and has a desire to help build a more caring community. He has been a board member of the Beaver Dam Area Development Corporation since 2014, and is currently president of the board. He is a member of the Beaver Dam Lions Club, where he has served a term as vice president, and is a board member for Church Health Services. Steve’s other community ties have included serving on the board of directors of the Beaver Dam Area Chamber of Commerce, Beaver Dam Scholarship Foundation, Leadership Beaver Dam, and the YMCA of Dodge County.

He is a third-generation resident of Beaver Dam, where he lives with his wife of 20-plus years, Nicole. Steve and Nicole have two sons, Brady (who passed in 2015) and Teddy, who is attending the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Steve’s pastimes of choice are spending time with his wife and son, hunting, fishing and playing golf.
