Peter Mendall

CFP®, CEPA®
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Certified Exit Planning Advisor

The importance of financial planning struck me early in my adult years when I unfortunately watched my great grandmother deteriorate in a nursing home. Pursuing an early love of culinary arts, I graduated from Johnson and Wales College in Rhode Island with a BS in Food Service Management. With the thought of my great grandmother’s condition in the back of my mind, I made the decision to join my family’s business as the 3rd generation in Mendall Financial Group, and earned my Wealth Management Specialist (WMS). Shortly after, I became a CFP® professional and have achieved Raymond James Leader’s Council recognition* from 2015-2017.

Today, I also hold my Certified Exit Planning Advisory (CEPA) designation earned by the Exit Planning Institute, as I focus on working with transitioning business owners. My passion and goals are to continue providing elite financial expertise to clients and their next generations. Most importantly, putting client’s needs first enables us to create financial plans based on their own unique objectives and values. With my 25 years of financial experience, the team and I are qualified to assist clients on estate and retirement planning, asset allocation, insurances, employer sponsored plans, and business succession planning.

I am actively involved in the community and am a long-time board member for the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed, and also serve on the boards of the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association, and the Kennebec Land Trust. My wife Amy and I have a great love for travel, having been to many parts of the world with our four children. In my spare time I thrive working on our family farm and cooking delicious food.
