W. Bowen McRae Jr

JD, CRPC®
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, INVESTMENTS

Bowen believes everyone should have a plan. Bowen began his professional career as an attorney practicing law for nearly 10 years. This experience helped him to better analyze situations, to identify needs and potential issues and to develop and implement a customized plan narrowly tailored to each client’s specific goals.

In 2007, Bowen transitioned from law and became a financial advisor with A.G. Edwards (which subsequently merged into Wells Fargo Advisors). He remained with the firm until 2017 when he joined Raymond James.

“I have always had a strong desire to help people, combined with a love of investing and planning,” Bowen says. “This includes planning – and saving – for retirement, managing investments and providing for various income needs in retirement.”

He works hard to help ensure that his clients enjoy their retirements and spend more quality time with their families and loved ones. “Raymond James offers the resources and freedom to always put the needs of my clients first,” he said.

Bowen graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi in 1995, and from the University of Mississippi School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree in 1998.

Bowen attends and stays active in First United Methodist Church, Baton Rouge, and is a current member and past chairman of the Church Council. He is also a former board member of Special Olympics Louisiana, and former board member of Louisiana Resource Center for Educators (LRCE).

Bowen grew up in Marianna, FL. Since 1998, he has lived in Baton Rouge. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and children, Annie, Will and Tommy.
