A 24-year veteran of the investment industry, Karen has been a valuable member of the Meinrod & Leeper team since 2006. Drawing on her strengths as a leader, as well as her extensive operational experience, she earned a promotion to be our Practice Business Manager. Karen is a strong problem solver; she is often called upon to lead team projects and to tackle the most complex issues facing our clients. She handles the ever-changing needs of our clients with grace, speed and integrity.

Originally from North Dakota, she proudly served our country for seven years in the Navy. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern New Hampshire. Before joining Raymond James & Associates, she worked at Barnett Securities, A.G. Edwards and UBS. She holds her Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS™) designation along with her Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Karen enjoys sharing her life with her husband, David and her two daughters, Mikaela and Taylor. She is an avid runner having completed 14 marathons. She qualified for the Boston marathon and competed in a variety of other races, including the New York and Chicago marathon, Jacksonville's premier Gate River run and several relay events. Active in the community, she finds time to volunteer with Personal Running Solutions.
