Joel is president of Merritt Wealth & Retirement Advisors, and a financial advisor at Raymond James Financial Services. He is a Certified Financial Planner^™ professional and an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service, and he holds securities and insurance licenses including the Series 7, 9, 10 and 66. Prior to joining Raymond James Joel worked for Diversified Management Inc., Thrivent Financial and Ameriprise where he gained experience in the areas of financial planning, investment management and income tax preparation. A graduate of University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a degree in quantitative economics, Joel lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin, with his wife and their two children.

In his free time his Joel is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys running and weightlifting. Other interests include hunting, hiking and a wide variety of other outdoor activities.
