Scott Cumbie

Senior Vice President, Investments

Scott is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), earning a BBA in Finance in 1982, and a MBA in 1983. He spent the first 10 years of his career in the investment banking and financial advisory industry where he specialized in municipal bonds. Responsibilities included structuring new issue General Obligation and Revenue bond offerings for public and negotiated sale, making rating agency presentations, and negotiating municipal bond insurance for issuers. Scott has been involved in a wide variety of municipal transactions including tax free and taxable offerings, advanced refundings, escrow calculations, and bond funded self- insurance pools.

In 1993, Scott moved to the investment management industry where he develops investment portfolios for individuals and retirement plans for businesses. Drawing on his extensive bond background, Scott develops individual bond and stock portfolios that are designed to properly reflect the clients risk level, time horizon, tax status, and liquidity needs. Scott holds the Series 7, 63, 65, and 31 securities licenses.

Scott has been married to Julie Cumbie, Ph.D, an assistant Professor of finance at UCO, since 1983. They have two adult daughters, Alex and Victoria, both of whom have graduated from Oklahoma State University. Scott and Julie belong to St. Lukes United Methodist Church in downtown Oklahoma City, and they enjoy spending time at Grand Lake, hiking, traveling, and enjoying sports.
