As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Rich understands that serving clients' financial and investment needs begins with building strong, lasting partnerships. He focuses on listening to each client because he believes everyone's needs and financial goals for the future are unique. With more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, Rich advises clients on a broad range of investment strategies based on their goals and risk tolerance, in order to build a comprehensive, individualized financial plan that meets the needs of each investor.

As the branch manager of the Raymond James Financial Services office in Newport News, Virginia, Rich specializes in retirement planning. His services include, but are not limited to: stocks, bonds, mutual funds, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), 401(k) investments, insurance, educational savings accounts and Section 529 college savings plans. Rich holds securities and insurance licenses in many states.

Rich is a 1974 graduate of The American University in Washington, D.C. with a B.A. in Political Science. He also holds a Master's degree in Management from Troy State University and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Old Dominion University. He was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification through the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards in 1995. He is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1995. In addition to several stateside assignments, his duty locations have included Germany, Great Britain, and South Korea, and long-term temporary duty in Turkey during Operation Desert Storm.

Over the years, Rich's community services activities have included youth baseball coach, the York County Beautification Committee, The York County Library Board, the Virginia Lutheran Family Services Board, and Kiwanis. He is an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and has three grown children and one granddaughter. In his spare time Rich enjoys travel, golf and scuba diving.

Rich believes that it is important for everyone to build a "nest egg". Regardless of your income level, it is his goal to help you achieve a more secure financial future for yourself and your family.
