In any service endeavor the greatest success is found in being true to core values and serving the needs of others. I was privileged to work for A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. for the greater part of my career to date. It was a unique firm headed by a special family. Our business philosophy was simply to trust that doing the right thing would be rewarded. We lived the Golden Rule – treating others as we wanted to be treated.
The loss of A.G. Edwards was like the death of a family member to me. Their legacy still lives today, though, in their family and those with whom they shared so much of themselves. I formed my firm in a modest attempt to build on this tradition. The corporate values of this new firm are not dependent on a changeable corporate culture and nebulous board of directors. They depend on me, the same person my clients have trusted these many years. My business philosophy is not complicated:
Do unto others as I would have them do unto me.
Over the years, my business has come to be one of family and friends. I appreciate the trust and friendship so many have shown me and I look forward to the many years to come.
