Clay has established himself as a knowledgeable resource to business owners, multigenerational families and high-net-worth clients. Getting to the heart of what clients find meaningful is his passion. He works tirelessly to facilitate the often-challenging family conversations about the transition of a family business, inheritance, estate planning, financial education while striving for a deeper level of harmony and clarity.
By utilizing an open-architecture approach Clay incorporates objectivity into comprehensive planning and investment strategies. This includes business succession planning, personal financial planning, cash flow modeling, investment management, insurance planning, estate and gift planning, tax-wise strategies and risk management techniques.
In 2001, Clay became a financial advisor with A.G. Edwards & Sons. Inc. He formed Acuity Wealth Advisors and affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services as an independent advisor in 2011. In addition to holding Series 7,66 and 9/10 securities licenses, he is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF™) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS™). Clay earned a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology from Central Missouri University and actively maintains a Certified Flight Instructor (Instrument) certificate as an Airline Transport rated pilot.
When away from the office, Clay is actively engaged with Big Brothers Big Sisters as a “Big”, conducts flight instruction as a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP) and enjoys a wide-variety of outdoor adventures with his family.
