• Clay Trenz, AAMS®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF)

Branch Manager - Independent Financial Advisor

While growing up near St. Louis, Missouri, Clay aspired to become an airline pilot with Trans World Airlines (TWA). As a young professional pilot, he spent significant time away from home and began to evaluate his priorities – what becomes most important to people later in life? He concluded it was health, financial well-being and having the ability to spend time with family. Ultimately, this led Clay to embark upon a career-changing mission to guide others with planning and investing for their future.

In 2001 he became a financial advisor with A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. A decade later, he affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services and now operates as Acuity Wealth Advisors. He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), holds Series 7, 66 and 9/10 securities licenses and manages the branch office. Clay earned a Bachelor of Science, Aviation Technology, degree from Central Missouri University. He is a Certified Flight Instructor and Airline Transport Pilot which is the highest level of pilot certification.

From the beginning, Clay committed to provide honest, efficient, affordable and friendly service to every client. He consistently engages with each client, even during the most difficult situations, to help pursue financial independence. Clay promotes an office culture which focuses heavily on client goal setting, risk-management, asset allocation and tax efficient portfolio construction.

Away from the office, Clay is a supporter of local community-based organizations including Mountainstar Family Relief Nursery and Big Brother Big Sisters of Central Oregon. He has served as a board member with Working Wonder Children’s Museum and The Deschutes River Conservancy.

In his spare time, Clay enjoys fishing almost anywhere, hiking to the top of a mountain, skiing in powder, watching a great basketball game, “big city” culture on occasion and finding tasty food when traveling abroad. Currently, he resides in Bend, Oregon, with his wife, two sons and two Pudelpointers.
