Allen has more than 30 years experience as a financial services professional, beginning his career with Merrill Lynch in 1983. He co-founded Capital Advisory Group in 1986. Desiring to start his own firm, he then founded Investment & Retirement Management in 1997...bringing his current business partner, Mike Barker, to the firm in early 1998. The firm was renamed Barker Petway in 2015. Allen holds a Series 7 license along with a Series 65, Series 24, and is insurance licensed for fixed and variable products. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He earned a BS degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Brenau College.
