• Robert C. Klose, J.D., CFP®

    First Vice President, Investments

For Bob, there’s no better business to be in than the one in which he works today. That’s because he is able to use his gifts to help people in ways that can so positively affect their lives. But then, Bob has always focused on helping clients achieve their unique goals throughout his entire career.

Bob started out professional life as an attorney with a major law firm in Chattanooga where he advised clients on tax, retirement planning and business planning goals. In his next role as senior vice president and trust officer for a major bank, Bob was responsible for the retirement and personal trust areas of the largest trust department in Chattanooga. Then, in 1993, he joined A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. in Chattanooga in order to assist clients on an individual basis to help them pursue their investment and financial goals. Bob remained with the firm through its acquisition by Wells Fargo Advisors.

Bob believes one of the most important relationships a person will have in life is with his or her financial advisor – a relationship that must be based on trust, mutual respect, and confidence. He also feels this type of relationship can only be achieved when the advisor is free to give the client advice that is in the client’s best interest and not where the recommendation is influenced by the needs and requirements of the financial institution. Because of changes in the financial industry and his commitment to these goals and objectives, Bob moved his practice to Raymond James in September 2009, drawn by its conservative management, high ethical standards, and commitment to quality client service.

Bob attended the University of Virginia, where he earned a B.A. in history, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned his J.D. Professionally, Bob holds the designations of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He has also earned Series 7, 31 and 63 securities licenses and is licensed for life and health and variable life insurances and variable annuities.

Bob and his wife, Kay, enjoy life in Chattanooga, where Bob is active in their church. They enjoy spending time with their family including four granddaughters. Bob is also a member of the Chattanooga Estate Planning Council and the Chattanooga Tax Practitioners.
