Joe Farris,
CFP®
Financial Advisor
Idahoan.
Born and raised in Meridian, I’m a sixth generation Idahoan. After High School I took my talents (or lack thereof) to Carroll College in Helena, Montana – other than it being a great place to go to school, a football scholarship is what took me to Carroll. I was lucky enough to create lifelong friendships during my time there, graduate with Financial Planning and Accounting degrees, and come back home to start my career here with such a great team.
Hobbies.
I love to spend most of my time with my fiancée, Abby, and our group of friends and family. I love (try) to golf, avoid adult responsibilities on NFL Sundays, play basketball, read, and always find ways to learn and improve as a Financial Planner. Abby and I have two dogs, Nash and Nova, and if you’re ever in our office I hope it is on a day when Nash gets to come to work!
Plan, Invest, Wait.
I am very proud to have a career that makes a difference in people’s lives. Financial Planning is my expertise, and my job is to help people tell their money what to do for them. We view our client’s investment plans with a long-term perspective – by allowing “the market” to work through the ups and downs of investor panic and excitement, and not making short-term decisions based on current events, we can make reasonable assumptions and plan for your goals. I believe that the great companies we invest in will figure out how to make money, innovate, and provide value to the world – no matter who is in office or when “experts” think the next recession will be.
