Kurt Charles Carter,

CFP® Managing Director Certified Financial Planner

Kurt brings a wealth of business experience, combined with a keen insight into financial strategies, to the service he provides his clients. He focuses on identifying each client’s goals, then crafting a plan of action for them based on those goals.

A tremendous communicator, he has the ability to help those he serves understand complex investment and financial strategies.

His previous business experience included a six-year stint with Phillips 66 and nearly a decade at Oklahoma State University (OSU), where he served as director of athletic development.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from OSU in 1981. This completed a tremendous college experience for him that included serving as the school mascot, “Pistol Pete.”

A passionate leader in the community, he takes a most active role serving and supporting arts, education and civic programs. Currently, he serves on the executive board of directors for the OSU Alumni Association, the executive board of directors for Lyric Theater of OKC, and the OSU Foundation Board of Governors. Previously, he served as the chairman of the EDGE Board of Investors at the request of the Oklahoma State Senate’s president pro tempore, was co-chairman of the Arthritis Foundation’s “Tribute to Excellence” honoring Eddie Sutton, chaired the OSU Posse Benefits Dinner and Auction, and served on the board of the Western Heights Public School Foundation.

Kurt and his wife, Jenny, live in Edmond, Oklahoma, and have two children and two dogs. They enjoy traveling, going to NYC to see their children, and cheering for the OSU Cowboys and the UNC Tar Heels.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner®,  CFP Logo Flame Design and  CFP Logo Plaque Design in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
