A 42-year veteran of the financial services industry. Don has the wisdom, tenacity, and insight to provide deep holistic and personalized financial guidance for everyone from retirees to business owners.

In addition to specializing in strategies-based financial planning, Don has years of experience creating and managing multigenerational wealth, helping clients cultivate lasting legacies. He has been a Certified Financial Planner practitioner since 1984.

Prior to joining Raymond James in 2020, Don worked as a Managing Director of Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors for 24 years. He also worked as a senior vice president of investments at Dean Witter from 1985 to 1996, and as an investment executive at Paine Webber from 1981 through 1985. “I have seen and done a lot,” says Don, “and I am very proud of that.”

Don’s academic history is just as storied as his professional trajectory. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, A Master of Business Administration from Drury University, and a Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law. He is also a graduate of the World Wide College of Auctioneering.

An active member of his community, Don is Board Emeritus and past Secretary of the executive committee of the American Red Cross Omaha-Council Bluffs Metro Chapter Area and president of Coronado Condominium Association. He previously served as a board member for the Cathedral Arts Project and as a master at Miloma Lodge.

Don was born to a ranch family in Valentine, Nebraska, and now resides in Omaha with his wife, Martha. When he’s not indulging his wanderlust – which has seen him travel to 104 countries and counting (a member of The Travelers Century Club) – you can find Don adding to his art, antique and automobile collections.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner®,  CFP Logo Flame Design and  CFP Logo Plaque Design in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
