Ray joined Raymond James in 2012 after 30 years with previous investment firms. He earned a master’s degree from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ray is actively involved in the Raleigh-area community, volunteering with Higher Ed Works, a non-partisan 501(c)(3) public charity that supports public higher education in North Carolina and the University Baptist Church in Chapel Hill. When not in the office, he enjoys hiking with his wife, traveling to the beach and the mountains and spending time with his two sons and two grandchildren.
