With more than 40 years of industry experience, Gus has the knowledge to confidently guide clients to and through retirement. His approach to wealth management includes a risk framework that is designed to enable clients to weather stormy markets with confidence. Approachable and straightforward, he lets clients know he can be a sounding board for any financial matter in their lives and builds his focused practice around responsive client service.

He joined Raymond James in 2021 after more than four decades serving clients at Merrill Lynch, where he was a wealth management advisor, portfolio manager and ran the advisor training program for three years and managed the Freehold office for 10 years. “I have a passion for helping people pursue their financial goals, and the folks at Raymond James have built a quality infrastructure to help make that happen,” Gus says of the move.

A graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, he has continued his education, earning the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM, Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designations. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification, awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP® Board’s initial and ongoing certification and educational requirements.

Giving back to the community is a priority for Gus. He has long volunteered for the Community YMCA, ultimately serving as the chairman of the board of directors and then as its foundation chairman. He has also served on the board of governors of the Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club.

Originally from Ridgefield, Connecticut, he lives in Oceanport, New Jersey, and Sarasota, Florida, with his wife, Pamela. They have two daughters, Allison and Melissa. In his free time, Gus enjoys racing his sailboat, biking, gardening, traveling, learning new languages and reading Pulitzer Prize-winning novels.
