With more than 49 years in the financial services industry, Hershel has extensive knowledge and experience providing comprehensive financial planning services for families and individuals. Honest and empathetic, he enjoys fostering lasting relationships with our clients as he helps them to strategically pursue their goals.
Hershel is a Chartered Financial Consultant® and has completed one of the most extensive educational programs required for any financial services credential, covering all aspects of financial planning. Each ChFC® must also complete a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education every two years, adhere to strict ethical standards and meet extensive experience requirements. Additionally, as a Chartered Life Underwriter, he has a specialty in life insurance and estate planning.
Before joining Raymond James in 2011, Hershel spent 42 years working at MetLife as a financial advisor, branch manager and managing director. Hershel is also a veteran and served in the United States Army as a combat medic during the Vietnam War. He attended Texarkana Community College.
An active member of his community, Hershel is a member and past president of the Texarkana Oaklawn Rotary and two-time recipient of the Paul Harris Award. He previously served as president of the Texarkana School Board. Hershel is proud to support several organizations in his community, and can often be found playing the guitar at a local nursing home.
Hershel enjoys playing the guitar, hunting, fishing and golfing in his spare time. A Texarkana native, he and his wife, Elaine, have three children.
