Keaton Morehead Pending FA

Born and raised in coastal Carlsbad, California, Keaton grew up with an appropriately active lifestyle - surfing, skating, golfing, and perhaps ironically playing AA and AAA travel ice hockey for 14 years. It was hockey that led Keaton to the University of Utah, where he was a member of the University of Utah’s hockey team, receiving the Academic award for highest GPA on the team, and the Rookie of the Year award. Keaton has since retired from hockey to focus on his professional development, broadening his experience at the University, and the state of Utah as a whole.

As a current sophomore at the University of Utah on track to graduate in 3 years, Keaton is studying economics with an emphasis in business analytics, and a certificate in financial planning. He is aiming to test for the Certified Financial Planner® designation after graduation.

Keaton's path into the financial planning, and his addition to the Highpoint Wealth Management team as an intern was sparked by his early curiosity about investments, honed as he visited with family, peers, and professionals about their own experiences. He quickly learned the impact that financial stability has on a person and on families as a whole. Keaton has since been ambitiously pursuing the knowledge to help others achieve that. While it was investments that piqued his interest early on, Keaton is now developing a career as a financial planning based advisor to clients, guiding them as they embrace investments to achieve their unique goals.

Since back from hockey, Keaton is now regularly found fulfilling his competitive drive and search for adrenaline anywhere outside, skiing the Cottonwood Canyons, pushing to be a scratch golfer at Bonneville Golf Course, backpacking the Uintas with friends, or biking and running the vast terrain of Salt Lake City.
