Keais has been serving the financial needs of professionals, business owners and their families for more than 20 years. He strives to develop long-term relationships with his clients with the objective of understanding their goals and providing viable strategies for every element of the wealth management equation. As a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, Keais holds the prestigious CFP® certification, one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning.

After getting to know you and fully understanding your investment objectives and your tolerance for risk, Keais works closely with you to develop a customized financial plan designed to meet your long-term financial objectives.

Originally from Kinston, North Carolina, Keais graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. In addition to the CFP® designation, he also holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ (AAMS™) designation from the College for Financial Planning, as well as the Certified Kingdom Advisor® designation as a member of Kingdom Advisors, an organization that exists to serve the public by creating a recognized and credible specialty of Christian financial professionals within the financial services industry offering biblically wise financial advice. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2019, Keais worked for Wells Fargo Advisors and predecessor firms First Union Securities, Wachovia Securities and A. G. Edwards for more than 19 years.

Before becoming a financial advisor in 2000, Keais worked in banking. In 1983, he joined Bank of America and worked for the next nine years as an analyst, a commercial branch manager and a corporate lender. In 1992 he joined First Union Corporation and was a corporate lender and market president for eight years and developed an extensive knowledge of liability and risk management.

Away from the office, Keais enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Lisa, a retired physical therapist; his daughter, Evan, and her husband, Caleb; his son, Tanner, and his wife, Brittany; his grandsons, Grayson and Tyler; and his granddaughters, Kennedy and Karlynn. On weekends and during the summer, Keais enjoys playing golf, tennis, pickleball and boating with his family and friends.

He has lived in Greenville since 1989 and has served the community in many capacities. He has been a very active member of the University City Kiwanis Club as a former board member, treasurer, vice president and president. He has earned the Kiwanis George Hixon Fellows award and the International Tablet of Honor award.

Keais has served on the local boards of “McGregor Downs Retirement Center” and “Communities in Schools,” and on various committees of the United Way and the Pitt County Chamber of Commerce. As a former Eagle Scout recipient, he has also served on the Eagle Scout Board of Review.

An active member of Covenant Church, Keais has served as chairman on the finance team and a leader in the stewardship ministry. He and his wife also volunteer their time in the church working in the financial counseling ministry.
