Michael J. Irwin founded Irwin Financial, Inc. twenty five years ago.  He is a registered principal and registered investment advisor representative. 

Mike began his financial planning career over thirty years ago with Kidder Peabody, Inc. before joining Raymond James in 1991.  Previously, Mike was the executive vice president of an electrical distributor and a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Mike attended Penn State University, where he graduated with a B.S. in accounting.  He had the distinction of being Joe Paterno’s first football captain at Penn State and was voted that team’s most valuable player.  He appears as a guest host on a local television show, “The Nitwits”. 

Mike has spent his life serving his community through various organizations.  Currently, Mike is a director with the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum board and the Penn State Advisory Group. 

Mike and his wife, Gail, have three children and twelve grandchildren.  He enjoys tennis and golf.
