Jim Aten has been a financial advisor since 1983, and with Raymond James & Associates since 1994. Through the years he has focused on providing customized investment plans for each client.

Jim believes his service oriented approach is what has attracted many of his original client’s children and grandchildren to become long term clients as well.

Originally from Canton, OH, Jim attended Grove City College in Grove City, PA, where he earned a BS in chemical engineering. After selling industrial chemicals in northeastern Ohio for 4 years, Jim moved to Florida to pursue his passion for investment services. He has served as president of the local Kiwanis club, and is on the Board of Directors of the Hernando County United Way. Jim is married and has a 18 year old daughter. He enjoys family activities and golf in his spare time.
