Jeff Blum is the Founder of J. Blum & Associates Wealth Management of Raymond James & Associates; specializes in wealth management through retirement planning, asset management, and cash flow strategies. A 28-year veteran of the financial industry, he has been advising clients since 1998 and has lectured at UCLA’s “Investing in Securities” class for over a decade. His background includes bank management and lending.
Jeff’s guiding philosophy drives his team’s collaborative approach in working with clients. He believes that the key to a successful investment plan is to creatively combine experience, resources, and his strategic planning process that gives you a comprehensive understanding of your investments and financial goals.
An active leader in the Conejo Valley and its surrounding areas since 1990, Jeff was recently presented the “Spirit of Calabasas” award for exceptional initiative and outstanding contributions to the community. He is also credited with the re-birth of the Pumpkin Festival, founded the CLvFFie Awards, established the Calabasas Economic Affairs Council, and created the “Hands Across the Parklands” event. Jeff currently serves as a commissioner for the Goebel Senior Center in Thousand Oaks. Additionally, he is a Current Trustee and Past Chair of the Conejo Las Virgenes Future Foundation, past chair of the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce and past president of the Rotary Club of Agoura/Oak Park, and current member of the Conejo Valley Rotary Club.
Jeff completed the CFP® Certification Professional Education Program in 2005 from the College of Financial Planning and attended the University of Maryland; Cal-State Northridge in business related studies. He served in the United States Air Force during which he graduated from the Defense Language Institute. He holds licenses for Securities, Life Insurance and Long Term Care and holds a Wealth Management Designation.
Jeff lives with wife in Thousand Oaks, CA and enjoys traveling the world in his spare time. They have traveled extensively through the US and Europe.
