Kelli Lanino, Financial Advisor and Branch Manager for KL Wealth Strategies since 2017, started her investment industry career at Merrill Lynch in Princeton, N.J., as a Portfolio Assistant for the Asset Management Division. When she moved to NY she then worked in a local branch office where she worked closely with advisors and their clients.
Kelli joined Raymond James in June 2011 working as the Operations Manager for MFB Wealth Strategies. When the MFB advisors left the industry, Kelli took advantage of all of her licenses and experience and stepped into her current role.
Kelli believes that her clients come first in all aspects of advising them of their financial and investment options. Her primary focus is financial planning, asset allocation and retirement planning. She starts by assessing each clients’ unique goals and objectives before determining the correct portfolio that fits those goals, making changes along the way as needs change.
Providing assistance to women in transition, such as divorce or loss of a spouse, is a part of her practice that she finds most rewarding. Being able to help someone when they are at a low point in their lives, when they feel lost and alone and often cannot find the right person who has their back, gives her the best feeling knowing that she could be the person they can count on.
She holds her Series 7, 51, 66 and 24 securities licenses, her New York State licenses for life and health insurance, and her Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designations. She also has the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts organization.
Kelli attended the Investment Consultant Group Certification Series, Level I and II workshops at RJ Institute of Investment Management Consulting to obtain her Investment Management Consultant title. Kelli was also a member of the Raymond James Executive Council in prior years.
Kelli is currently on the board of Soldier On At Home which holds a yearly golf outing to assist wounded combat veterans with job assistance, daily needs support, along with returning service dogs and working dogs who accompany veterans with special needs including PTSD.
She is a former board member for the Hampton Bays Chamber of Commerce where she enjoyed working with local community members to highlight the many beautiful aspects of living in the hamlet.
Kelli is the former President of the Twin Forks Professional Women’s Circle.
Kelli enjoys going to the ocean, reading books, bowling and taking bicycle rides. In the last few years she has taken up golf and joined a summer women’s league to improve her game and have fun.
Kelli was raised in Maspeth, New York, and currently resides in Hampton Bays with her husband Jim. Her son Philip still lives on Long Island with his family. Her daughter Alyssa resides in North Carolina with her husband and three children. The newest addition to her family is Lola, a mixed-breed rescue from Bideawee in Westhampton.
