Wally Williams

CFP®, AAMS®
First Vice President, Investments

With more than 10 years of experience as a financial advisor, it is Wally’s mission to treat the challenges his clients bring to him as his own; to embrace their circumstances and values; and then to tailor and manage a financial plan that honors their goals and enables them to work toward their best future. He also forms strategies to help clients pass on wealth to future generations. Wally approaches each client with empathy and a desire to understand their unique needs, drawing upon his experience as a financial advisor and a small business owner, as well as an array of services, investments and cutting-edge planning tools from Raymond James.

Prior to joining Raymond James in 2016, Wally served as a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments for more than 10 years. He was the owner of a small sporting goods store for 10 years before that. Wally received his BBA from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, before earning his MBA and MS with concentrations in finance and accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Growing up in and working for two family businesses impressed upon Wally the importance of a strong work ethic early on. It also showed him the importance of accomplishing what you need to for those you serve – no matter what. This sincere dedication to providing the highest caliber of support and service carries through to his work today.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional, Wally is dedicated to helping his clients work toward their financial goals by guiding them through the investment planning process set forth by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. The CFP® certification is one of the most respected financial planning credentials among consumers and the recognized standard of excellence in personal financial planning. In addition, Wally has held the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation since 2008.

Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Wally lives in the Lakewood area of Dallas with his wife of 28 years, Lisa. The pair’s household is in a constant state of activity with their three children – Pierce, Audrey and Allison – five dogs and two cats. Wally long has been an active member of his community, often having volunteered at his children’s schools and coached or assisted with their sports teams.

Although Wally is no musician, he has been known to chase his favorite bands around the country – once traveling as far as Seattle to take in some tunes. As a lifelong fan, Wally would love to see the Houston Astros win a World Series in his lifetime.
