Michael Epstein Bio image

Michael Scott Epstein,

AAMS®, J.D., LL.M. Financial Advisor

Even before joining the financial industry, Mike knew he wanted to help others. That’s why he began his career as a practicing attorney, working at law firms in New York and Miami, and using his legal knowledge to empower and guide his clients. Mike’s experience in the legal field, particularly in trusts and estates, endowed him with a distinct and holistic perspective to financial planning.

It is Mike’s strong desire to help people and their families that drew him into the financial field. He cherishes the opportunity to build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients while helping support them through all of their different life chapters. Hardworking and passionate, Mike has an empathetic and considerate approach when it comes to addressing the needs of others.

In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in finance from Tulane University, Mike also has a J.D. degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation with a focus in estate planning from New York Law School. Mike holds series 7 and 66 securities licenses, and earned his Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. Prior to joining Raymond James in 2019, Mike served as a vice president and senior estate settlement administrator at Northern Trust.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Mike currently lives in Coconut Grove with his wife, Carly, and their two daughters, Macie and Chelsy. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, running, traveling and – most importantly – spending time with his family. Mike is also the founder and executive director of the Epstein Reach for the Stars Foundation, which provides financial aid to high school seniors in South Florida who are preparing for college.
