Stephen’s career in financial services began in 1988 following his graduation from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia with a bachelors degree in political science. He trained and began his career in the Norfolk, Virginia office of Wheat First Securities in 1989.

Stephen’s primary professional focus in the last 25 years of service has been on the individual investor. Helping business owners, executives and retirees plan and prepare for their financial future has been the cornerstone of his professional service. Developing a personal wealth plan for each of his clients enables Stephen to prepare them for the bumpy road the financial markets are sure to provide. Providing this financial confidence has enabled Stephen to build strong, long term relationships with his clients.

Stephen takes pride in his work with various charitable and community causes. He has been involved in coaching baseball and basketball with the YMCA of South Hampton Roads as well as with Great Neck Athletic Association in Virginia Beach, Va. His service has involved past positions in a variety of charitable and educational boards including The Norfolk Sports Club, Catholic High School in Virginia Beach, First Tee of Hampton Roads and Ghent Square Community Association Investment Committee. Currently, Stephen is serving on the Virginia State Golf Association Board of Directors and is President of Bayville Golf Club in Virginia Beach, Va.

Stephen is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. He currently resides in Virginia Beach with his wife Maureen and two children, Caitlin and Colin.
