Melinda G. Martinez

Senior Practice Marketing Associate

A family business is something Linda is very familiar with. “I grew up in a business that my parents built together,” Linda says. “It’s a pleasure and an honor to now work with my husband, Michael Rodenbaugh, in our business.”

“I want our clients and prospective clients to feel confident and comfortable in working with us,” Linda adds.

Linda wears many hats in her role here. In addition to handling client communications and community awareness, she also manages the branding and marketing initiatives of the practice. “My goal is to help introduce our clients and potential clients to Michael and our team – and the many services we offer.”

Early in her career, Linda entered the financial services industry. She began her career in the financial industry working in mutual funds. “I enjoy working with numbers and I love the people aspect. Financial services is a good combination of both,” she says.

Today, she is excited about their affiliation with Raymond James, which also started as a family business and has grown to become one of the largest independent financial services firms in America. “Raymond James has a unique perspective and culture that I like. They are not afraid to do the right thing, which I admire,” she says.

Case in point: On Black Monday in 1987 when the stock markets took a plunge and many other firms closed their trading desks to minimize their losses, Raymond James stayed open until every client who wanted to sell could do so. “That’s a perfect example of putting the client first. I want to work for a company that I can believe in and emulate,” Linda offers.

Previously in her career, Linda worked for Antonio H. Martinez, L.P. She worked in many roles over the years from an assistant, an administrative assistant, a bookkeeper, and finally as an office manager. She was responsible for property account management, client communications, accounts payable/receivable, tax reporting and summaries. She studied at the University of Texas at Austin and Arlington, graduating with a BBA in international business - Spanish.

Out in the community, Linda is active in supporting several organizations. She sews for Cook Children’s Medical Center and Project Linus, which provides pillows, pillowcases, bags, and quilts to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. She is also involved with a pet food bank called Don’t Forget to Feed Me, as well as the Snowdrop Foundation, which provides scholarships to former and current pediatric cancer patients and survivors.

Linda is a native Texan. She was born in San Angelo and has lived in Arlington for more than 40 years. She has been happily married for 30 years to Michael Rodenbaugh, her high school sweetheart. They have three grown and amazing children, Matthew, Madeline and Marisa. In her free time, Linda loves spending time with her family. She enjoys a good book, quilting, traveling, running Snowdrop marathons and cheering on her Texas Longhorns.
