Sean Hoolihan is a registered principal with over three decades of experience in the financial industry. As the owner of Hoolihan Financial LLC, an independent practice affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, he is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate complex financial landscapes with confidence. Sean’s career began in 1994 with Merrill Lynch, later serving as Vice President at Charles Schwab before joining Raymond James Financial Services as an independent financial advisor.
A graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Sean’s passion for lifelong learning has led him to earn multiple advanced designations and certifications. He holds the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation through the The American College of Financial Services in Byrne, PA and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist® (AAMS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO. In 2019, he deepened his expertise in retirement planning by obtaining the Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation. Recognizing the growing importance of estate and legacy planning, Sean earned the prestigious Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation in 2023, through the National Association of Estate Planners & Council; further demonstrating his commitment to helping client’s structure and preserve their wealth for future generations. In 2024, he completed a Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) through The American College, equipping him with comprehensive expertise in wealth management and financial strategy.
Additionally, Sean earned specialized certifications in Business Succession Planning, Estate Planning, and Taxation, allowing him to offer tailored solutions for business owners and high-net-worth families. Sean’s commitment to staying current with the ever-evolving financial landscape ensures that his clients receive informed, forward-thinking advice.
Beyond his professional commitments, Sean is actively engaged in his community. He is a member of the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council and has served as a Eucharistic minister for his church. His volunteer work includes past service on the Finance Council and other ministries in need.
Sean resides in Palm Harbor, Florida, with his wife, Sandra, a dedicated middle school science teacher. Together, they have three children: Caitlyn (23), Aidan (21), and Brody (16) along with a golden doodle name Boomer.
