Shep is the Financial Advisor and leader of the team at Shepard Wealth Management. In addition to being Financial Advisor, his main area of oversight is client investment strategies, portfolio management, financial and estate planning, as well as supervisory functions over the different elements of the team.

Shep has over 25 years of experience as a Financial Advisor prior to establishing Shepard Wealth Management. Shep spent 9 years (1991-2000) with Prudential Securities. Shep spent another 8 years (2000-2008) at PaineWebber/UBS as a V.P of Investments. Shep recently (2008-2016) was a Senior Financial Advisor with Wachovia Securities/Wells Fargo Advisors attaining the exclusive "Premier Advisor" status 6 years in a row, a designation awarded to a select group of financial advisors based on rigorous criteria including revenue generation, education attainment and client-service best practices. Shep earned the designation of Investment Management Consultant in 2018 and the designation of Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor in 2019.

Shep lived in Switzerland for 1-½ years studying French before attending Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, majoring in accounting and minoring in finance. Shep worked in NYC for a year and then returned to Memphis to start a successful company at the age of 28, which he sold 10 years later. He then entered into the Financial Services industry with Prudential Securities at their training program in La Jolla, California.

Shep is a third generation Memphian, a graduate of East High School, is a member of Temple Israel and is the founder of the annual Israel Festival in Memphis. Shep is a member of the professional advisory group of the Memphis Jewish Foundation. Shep is married and has a blended family of 5 adult children, four of whom live in– and love - Memphis.
