Sam is founder and owner of SJ Martin Wealth Management. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, he has the required knowledge and experience to help prepare individuals facing important financial decisions both before and after retirement.

Sam specializes in creating a specific, individualized financial plans for all stages of life’s journey with the intention of creating and sustaining financial independence. Sam conducts business on a face-to-face basis; however, he also routinely works with many of his clients via web conference whether they are located within the local proximity or residing out of state.

By employing his extensive financial education and experience, Sam assists his clients in identifying and prioritizing their goals, needs and objectives to develop a personalized financial strategy. His practice focuses attention on wealth preservation with legacy considerations, wealth accumulation and creation of income streams for retirement planning. Sam thoroughly enjoys getting to know his clients on a personal level and considers many of them his friends.

Sam earned his undergraduate degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He was awarded the CFP® designation after completing the required coursework from Wake Forest to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner. Additionally, Sam possesses a life, accident and health insurance license and Series 7 and 66 securities registrations. Sam began his financial career directly out of college with Edward Jones in 2013, becoming a limited partner and top producer before joining Raymond James in 2022.

Sam was born in Orlando, Florida; raised both in Winter Park, Florida, and Traverse City, Michigan, before moving to Charleston, South Carolina in 2009. Sam is married to Paige, his high school sweetheart and they have four children, Beverly, Emerson, Eleanor, and Abigail.
