    Community Engagement Manager

Margaret has worked in community engagement since graduating from Western Washington University in 2017 with a Master of Arts degree in English with a focus in Rhetoric & Composition. Born and raised in Spokane, WA, she moved back to the Inland Northwest after completing her education on the west side. From 2017 – 2019 she established her work with local arts communities and nonprofits in her position as Events Coordinator at Auntie’s Bookstore, one of the largest independent bookstores in the Northwest region. She has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations in the Spokane community assisting with donor relations, grant writing, fundraising and event management. Creativity is key to her technical writing and consulting roles. Her passion for coordination and community building continues as the Community Engagement Manager for Starry Financial Group.

Margaret’s work in marketing and technical writing spans from the publishing world to the medical field, nonprofit sector, and now the financial services industry. Margaret’s goals as Community Engagement Manager focus on creating meaningful ways for Starry Financial Group to invest in community partnerships, as well as remain informed of the needs of our community and the organizations we work with to strengthen our local economy. A percentage of her efforts in the Inland Northwest include free consultation and volunteerism in her areas of specialization. Margaret can usually be found participating at local events with her son and family.
