Dieter Ramaekers,
CFP®, CIMA®, CWS® Private Wealth AdvisorA sharp, purpose-built portfolio is critical, but Dieter knows his clients’ purposes aren’t defined by numbers on an account. So, in serving his clients’ financial needs, Dieter centers his advice on their lives and goals. He advocates financial planning that encompasses their whole lives, helping his clients provide durable financial well-being to their multigenerational families, provide for comfortable lifestyles and manage the distinct risks and opportunities of significant wealth.
Dieter’s is a deeply human approach to finance, backed by personal warmth, technical proficiency and a practice culture built around always putting the client’s needs first. His clients, typically high-net-worth and high-income individuals and families, have inherent financial complexity. To help them pursue their goals, he works to demystify finance, connecting his knowledge of the markets with their experiences and successes. He spends a lot of time getting to know his clients, who in time come to see him as more than a wealth manager, but a friend and confidante.
Dieter started his advising career with Morgan Stanley in 1997. He joined Raymond James in 2016, partnering with Victor Adint, an advisor in whom he saw a similar approach to financial advising that was financially sophisticated yet empathetic and open.
Dieter studied business and languages at Hoger Handels en Taleninstituut in Genk, Belgium. He has remained committed to education, becoming a Certified Financial Planner® professional after completing a rigorous course of study and examination on the holistic financial planning process. He also holds the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation, having completed training and maintaining continuing education requirements on the complex financial demands of high-net-worth families. Similarly, he earned and maintains the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation through the University of Pennsylvania The Wharton school, a course of study on portfolio management and construction for high-net-worth clients.
Dieter has also earned the Private Wealth Advisor designation from Raymond James, attesting to his experience in supporting the complex finances of a high-net-worth clientele.
Originally from Belgium, Dieter now lives with his wife, Susie, in Santa Cruz. He has five children. Outside the office he stays active and balanced, reading and playing music on guitar and piano, practicing yoga and meditation, and spending time with his family in active pursuits like cycling, roller skating and hiking, especially in the Swiss Alps.
