John endeavors to create long-term, meaningful relationships with a select group of clients and provide them with personalized financial planning advice using some of the industry’s most comprehensive resources. His investment process takes into account your investing experience, your expectations for returns, your tolerance for risk, and the performance of your portfolio.

Based on what he learns about you and your goals and an analysis of the current financial markets, John designs a customized investment strategy based on recommendations made solely with your best interest in mind. He then takes the time to explain his recommendations and, once you are comfortable with your new plan, John puts it into action and will review its performance for opportunities to adapt to life changes and new goals.

John began his career in financial services in 1986 and previously spent 28 years with Wells Fargo Bank, Zions Bank and Community First National Bank. Today, John provides financial and estate planning through the use of equities, fixed income securities, real assets and alternatives to individuals, families, retirement plans, foundations, trusts, 529 education savings plans and more through Raymond James.

A native of Fargo, North Dakota, John and his wife, Lisa, reside in Alpine, Utah. John has two sons, Ben (35) and Sam (24); and Lisa has three children, Alyssa (22), Sheridan (20) and Tremaine (16). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® and member of the CFA Society. Away from the office, John also enjoys sports and, in particular, golf, hockey and travel.
