Inflation the game changer

The past 2 years homeowners have enjoyed seeing their home value significantly going up almost every month and at the same time without noticing inflation has crept up on us.

Now we must make decisions on what we buy and what we select, and grocery shopping has become quite a bit more expensive over the past 2 years. In addition, gas prices have significantly increased as well because of inflation.

All of this has caused us to rethink our spending habits now. There are some things we can do to help ourselves in this current higher inflation environment.

First, always make a list of what is truly important that you want to Buy. Many of us can remember times when we went to the store with the intent to buy one item and we leave with 10 items none of which is what we wanted to buy in the first place. Now is not the time to do so. You need to be specific on what you want and buy what you need.

In addition, consider using store coupons whenever possible; there are many Apps available nowadays that will allow you to download the coupons on your cellphone which you could use at the register.

Consider buying in bulk whenever possible. If you know you need some items, consider buying them when they’re on sale which could save you.

Lastly if you're buying online, some places have a delivery free these days. Therefore, consider making a list of everything that you need from that one place and place your order one time for all of items you need and thus minimize the delivery fee charges.
